Strokovni komentator televizije TNT Charles Barkley je izzval negodovanje košarkarskih navijačev s primerjavo med Lukom Dončićem in Nikolo Jokićem.
Barkley je med prenosom tekme med Denverjem in Dallasom, ki jo je slednji dobil za točko, večkrat izpostavil pomen Jokićevih podaj, pri tem pa namigoval, da Dončić ne pripomore dovolj k razigravanju igralcev.
Ob tem je marsikdo le debelo pogledal, saj je Dončić na tekmi vpisal 12 podaj, medtem ko Jokić štiri manj. Tudi sicer sta Slovenec in Srb tako rekoč izenačena na lestvici najboljših podajalcev v letošnji sezoni - Jokić je z 8,9 podaje na visokem tretjem mestu, Dončić z 8,7 le mesto za njim.
Barkley je Slovencu med drugim očital, da bi moral žogo manj zadrževati v svoji posesti in jo z dolgimi podajami hitreje prenesti na drugo polovico igrišča. Uporabniki twitterja niso bili navdušeni.
"Barkley trdi, da Luka po skoku v obrambi nikoli ne poda dolge žoge. Točno to je počel proti Denverju," je zapisal nek navijač.
"Barkley: 'Kadar je Luka na parketu, Mavsi ne znajo igrati'. Luka: sedem podaj v prvem polčasu!" je poudaril drugi.
"Charles Barkley ne gleda Lukovih tekem," je dodal tretji.
"Chuck trdi, da se mora Luka naučiti podajati kot Joker. Ali gledamo isto tekmo? Ti fantje res ne gledajo tekem, kaj?"
"Ste videli, kako je Luka podal čez igrišče? To je tisto, česar po Barkleyjevih besedah nikoli ne naredi."
