Odziv športnega sveta na zdravstveni replah 37-letnega Ikerja Casillasa presega nogometne okvirje. Podpora nekdanjemu španskemu reprezentantu, ki so ga zaradi srčnega napada prepeljali v bolnišnico v Portu, kjer je prestal nujno operacijo, dežuje z vseh koncev svetu.
Casillasu so v teh težkih trenutkih podporo izrekli številni nekdanji soigralci, profesionalni kolegi, tenisač Rafael Nadal in celo hollywoodski igralec Antonio Banderas. Odzvala se je tudi Barcelona, zapriseženi tekmec njegovega nekdanjega kluba Real Madrida, ki je sporočila: "Drži se, Iker Casillas!"
